Ummm... How bout no Scott...

Too much for brakes that hardly contribute to stopping the car anyways... imo

hehehehe I find it funny that people will spend thousands of dollars making their cars faster, but when it comes to stopping, people will neglect it and spend the least possible. hilarious!

If you wanna drop that cash go right ahead. And who said I neglected my brakes? I have GSX calipers, Raceconcept Slotted GSX rotors, AXXIS Metalmaster pads and SS lines on all 4 corners... But when over 80% of your braking comes from the front set anyways, what significant difference are you going to notice in your 60-0 performance with these?
Show me some numbers and I will take back my scepticism.
Thanks,

with respect on the money spent for Horsepower upgrades, the amount of money spent on stopping upgrades is rediculously small, and it is usually one of the last things done with respect to upgrades. people will spend thousands of dollars for a turbo kit, but they wont spend 1/3 of that on brake upgrades. Remember its not speed that kills per say it is the inability to stop effectively that does. I find it that Brakes are far more important than increasing HP, but most do not and that is exceptionally funny, cause one day they'll die.

well, I might spend that kind of loot on the front brakes, which handle 75-80% of the braking load. But to spend that kind of money on something that is not going to make or "brake" whether or not I live or die, that's another story.

Yea. I agree with you totally on this. Coming from racing bikes in the AMA, I cannot emphasize enought the importance of good braking, but I do know that the rear brakes don't do much when it comes down to it. On hard braking the mass shifts towards the front of the car, therefore unweighting the rear causing the rear brakes to have even less impact on your 60-0 distance, but for everyday driving they do have a little more impact. On my race bike I never used the rear brake except for some insane cornering sliding which I did not enjoy!!
I think these would be overkill.

Fawk it. Get them brakes James. :thumbsup

If someone's philosphy holds true, no one here needs to splurge on FMICs as they are an "overkill". Sidemounts will do the job.
