Yeah, so how would I go about doing this? They are already installed but the rear ones are making some terrible noises. How do I lube them after they are already installed?

you should try some motorcycle chain lube. it'll stay on and you can get it in a spray can.

A lot of the autoX guys, while doing the install, drill the bushing housing, and tap it for a grease fitting. Now that it is all together, then I would recommend a spray grease. Some have luck for a while with WD40, though.

WD 40 will work but often dries out materials like poly urethane and other hard rubbers/plastics. usually a silicon based lubricate works better and won't dry anything out.

yeah WD40 isn't a lubricant, its more of a cleaning agent.

silicone lubricate and motorcycle chain oil/wax works good,

I beg to differ about the WD40... it is parafin and petrolium distilates. Wax can be a decent lubricator, if it is applied to a surface, especially on materials like poly. It might dry it out, though, now that you mention it. I guess I would stick with a silicone lube. Either that, or take it all apart, and tap in grease fittings. :P j/k

Screw that. I'll try some different sprays and see what happens. Thanks for the advice fellas.

I was entirely kidding. I wouldn't wish a poly bushing install on my worst enemy, let alone a poly bushing uninstall followed by a reinstall. That was my (piss-poor) attempt at humour. Did you also install the subframe bushings? Or did you just stick to the bushings in the arms?

I just did the bushings in the arms. That is all that is included in the master kit for 2gs. As a matter of fact I don't recall there being any other options from energy suspension other than sway bar bushings *shrugs*

And I knew you were kidding Bill... lol. I would rather let them squeak then do it all over again ;)

Spray moderately with white lithium grease. It comes in an areosol can with a sprayer straw. It's a great lubicate that's good for interior and exterior engine parts.

hey bro. whats up . So ya got some squeakin goin on? Well the bushings on jasons car (iamnotwhoiam) were put on at my house. We made sure to put a shit load of lube on them during install. I've had mine on for a year now no squeks. Did you go with the red or black bushings? The black one are supposedly self lubing. The red ones are straight poly. My suggestion would be to maybe get a syringe (like used for flavoring deep fried turkey) heat some of the install lube suck it in the syringe and try to get in the areas. If you want call this guy Rob McMahan he should still be the director of customer service. This guys used to bs with me at all the hot import night shows in cali. He said if I ever needed any extra lube to call him and he'd send some no problem. late mike

sorry for the late reply.. been quite busy with other stuff these days and dont keep up as much on the forum as i used to.. i will second the above idea mike gave about a syringe and the lube.. or some sort of needle applicator to get in there.. mine squeak ever so slighly, but no biggy.. and mostly in the winter when its dry and cold..... sqeaking just reminds me that they are there.. :-)
