16866, Will they break? Posted by whoshotya, Apr-05-03 12:38 PM
I finally got my underbody lights installed, and now im thinking about lowering it.. i live in maryland and the roads can be pretty bad but that isn't the main concern, There are speed bumps all through my area. So if i lower it how low should i go? i was thinking about 1.5' but that might be too much with those ubl's so how do u all handle speed bumps?? I see people turning there car sideways just to try to slightly go avoid scratching there bottom but most of the time still doesn't work! please answer at least half of my questions pleaze?!?
~go against jigga ya azz is dense/ im about a dolla WTF is 50 cent?

Id say a 1.5" drop should be good. Once it is dropped, before you go out driving, look under the car and check things out. Your bulbs shouldnt be a concern if they are done right and tucked under properly. But just take speed bumps slowly. Big drop-offs and tall driveways, just go slow and at an angle and youll be fine. And dont go curb hoppin :thumbsup
BTW.... you might want to upgrade your struts if you havent done them yet. Get some adjustable ones. That way you can decrease your chance of bottoming out by setting your struts on a harder setting. By having a harder setting, your can wont bounce as much and you wont have to worry as much. Just something to think about......
