1685, Tire Pressure ?
Posted by Lee, Apr-13-01 01:59 AM
I noticed my car was running a little rough when I accelerated or decelerated, so I figured I needed to put a little air in my tires. Well when I checked the pressure it was about 3-4PSI more than it should of been. How do you gain air pressure without putting in more air? Well, I let out a little bit of air and it's running smoothly now, but I don't understand how this happened.

Temperature.

I don't remember exactly but for every 10degree you gain like 3 or 4 psi of pressure. Hotter, air molecules create more energy which more around faster which creates more pressure

You want to keep your tires around 5psi under the max, this way temp. won't over inflate your tires, and also, you get better traction that way:-)
