16764, What is out there for "real coilovers"?? Posted by BuckNutty, Apr-01-03 01:46 AM
I am looking at selling my struts and coilover to get a really good set. Was looking at Tein's, but am wondering if there are any more options out there so i can study up and get the best of the best n whatnot. TIA NWN :thumbsup

Tein is the best of the best...JIC would be right underneath of it or HKS
Performance: Stuff that makes my car run better or go faster
Looks: Stock because looks doesnt make my car go faster or run better
Weight Reduction: CF Hood, No A/C or Powersteering Accessories, No rear interior

the thing that has confused me about these is if they are just coil overs, or are they a strut and coilover combo? AKA am i gonna need to get struts with a set of teins??

i dont think you need struts if they are true coilovers. and for the price, you shouldnt have to buy struts

Full body coilovers are a shock/spring combination with an adjustable lower perch. So no, you don't need to get shocks too. -=B-=

Like /\ said. Its a fully adjustable setup. Coilover and strut setup. Coilovers are adjustable for ride height, and adjustable struts for however you like your ride to be. The struts on mine are 1-4 in the front, and 1-8 in the back.
