I about ready to install all my brake stuff and i am going to replace the fluid with all new synthetic. What is the best way to do this? and how much fluid am i going to need ? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure I've written a couple write ups which you could find by the search engine, but simply speaking just take the nipple of each brake caliper, loosen the valve, and connect a clear rubber tube to it with the end to an empty water bottle (or what-have-you)

Have someone press on the brake slowly and the fluid will bleed out, you can then tighten the valve, and let them release the brake slowly. do it a few times watching the level in the revoir. Don't let it get too low b/c you don't want to introduce bubbles into the system.

There's actually a DIY brake bleeder in autoshops that bleeds the valve as you press down the pedal and closes it as you release the pedal - could always buy one of those! otherwise just have a second person to help you

I'm betting you will see a color change between your old fluid vs the new fluid, so you'll be able to see that as the fluid comes out (if you have a clear tube and bottle)

all in all it's pretty easy to do

don't forget to cap the new fluid container in between bleeding the brakes b/c you don't want it to absorb h2o

when should the brakes be bled/flushed? :rolleyes

you should bleed brakes b4 and after racing events cuz when you drive your car hard you may boil the brake fluid as a result air will get in there. You should also bleed em if you feel you brake pedal is all mushy. You should flush your brakes like once a year I believe or just look at the fluid color if its light brown like cooking oil it ok but remember brake fluid is clear. if its all black and dirty looking you might wanna flush it. if the reservoir is dirty suck out all the fluid with a vacuum pump tool haha or use a straw and put your finger over it (takes forever) then wipe it up with a tissue.
