Expect to pay around $350 for both left and right front.

I'm currently having the same problem, noises when I'm driving and when my front end is jacked up, the front wheels have play in them. Since you can't buy JUST the bearing, you have to buy the whole wheel bearing assembly which costs about $170 from the dealership. :(

I got lucky and a friend of mine has JUST the bearings. I have no idea where he got them. So I gotta find a place that will press them in for me.

i know we have crappy braking systems where the rotors warp really fast but could bad wheel bearings play a part in warping our rotors faster?

This is a total guess on my part but if your wheel bearings are really shot (as mine were), the wheels have lateral "play" and when you hit the brakes the pads are trying to stop a wobbling wheel which can't be good for anything.

Yeah, I changed mine earlier this year (well later last year).
I got it from a junkyard for $85 and new tie rods from NAPA for $15. It came out to around $100.

Last I've seen, the DSM Graveyard guy is selling them for $40 shipped each for the fronts.

Is it hard? Not really. I wrote up on how to do this a while back. Check the archives for it.

And yeah, you can't just buy the front bearings, you have the buy the whole wheel hub..

Hope that helps..

That's what you need. Was that price for one side or both?

$148 was the price for each side brand new. That sure beats satans price of $188.
