16639, Upgraded axles Posted by Dinkjs, Mar-26-03 04:15 PM
Ok those of you which i think are very few that have upgraded there axles....do these also reduce unsprung weight at the wheels and also...will these improve handling...generally they are alot stiffer for the horsepower that is generally made for it...so would they also help my handling since I am about to start investing in the rest of my handling and suspension
Right now I am running the Koni Yellows with Strut Tower Bars....I still need to invest in sway pars and lower tie bars....and probably the complete energy suspension kit

the new axles should have no performance difference cept they could be slightly heavier.. maybe...
unless youre gonna or are breaking axles dont bother...

Unless somebody makes a carbon fiber or aluminum driveshaft, the beafier units made to hold power would be heavier, hense sap more power to turn = less power to the wheels. Only upgrade if you have a high hp car that is snapping stockers.
