Make no mistake about it, these bushings are a PITAAAAAA! And I am finding the opposite from what everyone says... I am getting the stock rubber bushings out fine (hole saw, then a hacksaw through the sleeve, then punch it out!) The problem I have is getting the new ones in, especially the bigger ones. Ive got some pics, will be posting when I am done.

so your not using a press to get them out? if your not you will probably have to to get the new ones in. the only other way i can think of would be to have a vehicle with some ground clearance, a bottle jack, and a piece of 1/4 inch steel or so. put the jack under the vehicle so it has a flat reinforced spot above it, then put the piece of steel on the jack followd by the hole you are installing the bushing in, then the bushing. raise the jack and the weight of the vehicle should push the bushing in. when its almost all the way in take it off the jack. you should be able to get it the last little ways pretty easily with a hammer. might not work on all them though. the bigger ones are easier to get out but harder to put in.

ahh yet another horror story, I don't see why you have to replace the bushings though, our cars aren't that old. Haha you should see the bushings on my 280Z that thing really needs new ones.

i didn't have to change my bushings, they were practically brand new. it was just a handling upgrade.

Who told you this was asimple swap? Pressing in and out bushing ranks high on my PITA Scale. Make sure you lube them well or you're going to hear squeeks.

I never assumed it was going to be an easy install. Today is going better, now that I have a plan of sorts. I am using a vise to get the new ones in(and a hammer... hehe) Yeah I am lubbing them too. I just wanted to share because I know people, especially newbies, see how cheap these bushings are and wonder how hard it could really be. Nothing was wrong with my bushings either, considering my car is a 99! LOL... I was just curious as to how they would feel and I got a pretty decent deal on them.

yep.. that was quite a pita of a process when i got mine done.. its amazing that ive had these in for a good year plus.. yeah.. they are a cheap.. but a pain to swap.. main reason i did mine was because one of my rear ones went out.. and i figured id do all of them and get it out of the way.. still to this day i got the most amazing hookup with the help i received from my good local friends when doing this mod.. you will be quite amazed with the new feel your car will have.. and they will still probably squeak ever so often mainly on cold days..
