I need help sometime my steering cuts out for no reason while taking a sharp corner. I have already replced the ball joint and control arms. I just put in new oem shocks but the problem remains. I heard the whine of a bad steering pump about once every 6 months. I have now idea, I already had it checked twice by a mechanic, and he found nothing wrong.

power steering pump may need replacing

either that, or the rack and pinion may be going bad.

How is your powersteering belt? If it's getting old or worn, it may be slipping.

When I put on my UDP and got new belts, my PS would die out when i turned too fast.. after some dressing and breaking in the belts, it never happened again.

yeah the belts are really old ps and alt. i should really get new 1z. I am just figuring that a udp come with them so I am trying o save the cash and get them that way. I never thought of this.
