16236, Camber kit

Quick question

I lowered my car 2". The front tires "Look" ok but the back ones are angled in very noticably.

What degree of camber adjustment do you think I will need? I have seen kits with .75 degree to 3.75 degrees. just trying to figure out which kit to buy.

Thanks

With the rear you can just do the "$15 Camber Mod" located on the main page. The front is a little different. I would suggest you take it in and have the alignment checked. A lot of places will do that for free. Then you will know how much you need.

Thanks I'll look into that mod on the main page.

As for "free" alignment check.....I wish! Most places won't touch a car thats been lowered here in Amishville PA, unless its a horse and buggy!

Last place I checked wanted $200-300 to do a 4 wheel alignment and camber adjustment. Stated that the price is high because the need for a 4 wheel alignment and it's lowered plus the fact they have to adjust camber and so on :rolleyes

Hmm, something is way wrong about that! There has to be someone that will do it at a normal price. Keep in mind though that they may be including the kit for that money. My front kit was $130.

Do you have Tire Kingdom up there?

For $300 I had my rear camber kit purchased, installed and 4 wheel alignment done up here in Carlisle. Only about 40 minutes from you.

Nope no tire Kingdom....

And that did NOT include the cost of the camber kit. This Area is really screwy!

Allan, where did you get your alignment done? I would drive up there to get it taken care of. I need to get this stuff done. I ordered my new engine and spent $3700 with plenty of upgrades :thumbsup I am going to do the camber at the same time along with new motor mounts. Hopefully the car will be done by the end of the month :-)

I want to enter the Carlisle car show with it
