Do you guys feel that your cars are a little TOO LOW sometimes?? Especially HiOnPsi, your front bumper looks very low like mine. I can't tell how low Jason's car is because of the shadows, but it looks pretty low too.
My car has Progress Techniques springs on it. I'm not sure the exact drop but it's at least 2". Here's a pic. It's a little hard to tell with the shadow, but you can see it's pretty low.
While I love the aggressive dropped look, I'm tired of scraping on everything. I can't even get a floor jack underneath my car unless someone lifts up on the wheel well, which makes it impossible for me to do simple things like rotate my tires or change my oil without help. I was thinking of buying some Eibach Pro Kits for my car instead. Will that raise it up enough to get a jack underneath while still looking lowered??

Hey Patrick, it may be that your springs have sagged, I have heard that progress springs will do that. And some springs are rated higher than what they really are. That pic above I was on the H&R race springs. They were rated at a 2" drop but they were more than that for sure. My new springs are goldline. They are rated the same but my car is a little bit higher. But yeah, if you go to prokits or something you will notice the difference.

i'm thinking about going with 17s and lowering about 2 inches also. question, if i do that then do i need to do any different adjusts besides getting the coilovers? camber adjustment, new shocks? thanks

16005, RE: 2" drop with 17's??? Posted by BoostedGS, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Stock struts will wear out faster than aftermarket ones because they are not designed for a shorter spring height. With a 2" drop you'll need some type of camber adjustment too.

Im dropped 2" on H&Rs same as fasterGS and have 17s, you will need camber kits, I had to get the extreme camber kit from ingalls to adjust the full 3degrees
Its not a very good picture to show the wheel gap but i have about 1" wheel gap all the way around

16094, RE: 2" drop with 17's??? Posted by docta doom, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
i'm on 225/55/16 right now and i have little clearance on the inside. sometimes my car is even too low. i'm getting 45's now thought so that should help me out. i also have to use 2 jacks (scissor and hydraulic) cuz the hydraulic won't go under my car. there are some speedbumps that i have to take 2 lanes to go over and even some speed bumps (in my cousins neighborhood) that i can never go over.
