15552, DIfference between front and rear rotors found

I was wondering why rear rotors, doing so little compared to the front, cost so much compared to the fronts.

Well, this doesnt explain that, but explains whats different.

The front rotors have "two" discs. Its 1 rotor of course, but it has a large gap in the middle to help cool, making it look as if it consists of 2 discs, when really its 1 disc with a slot down the middle. Get what Im saying?

The rear rotors dont have this. Its just one disc, no slot to help cool. It looks like the front rotor but cut in half.

Also, the hub part, that goes onto the lug studs, is much larger than the fronts. Weird...

Oh and the actual diameter of the disc, as in the actual smooth-part that touches the pads, is much slimmer on the rears than the fronts.

The rears might cost more because of the large hub part, but thats it...

This is off a 95 talon esi.

the hub shouldn't matter since its not included with the rotor. the only thing i could think of would be that because of being a disc/drum it is harder to manufacture.

Some 95's came with rear vented discs.

That's right, but only some AWD models.
