15304, I don't know what else to do!!!! Posted by nisrEclipse99, Jan-27-03 04:49 PM
Lately my E-brake light has been either A) Staying on after I take off the e-brake B) shuts off then at a random time down the road it just turns on for no reason or (when im lucky) C) Not comming on after I disengage the break. I adjusted the nut for the e-break under the center console thinking that it wasn't making connection with the light sensor switch. (I know that it pushing the little switch in all the way because its clearly visible when you remove the center console.) That didn't do anything so I checked to see if the break was staying on a little even when released but it didn't appear to be doing that either. Its really annoying x( to see that damn light but I'm not sure what else I need to check. ;( Any Ideas on what to do???

check your brake fluid and your pads..the light comes on when the brake fluid is low and when thats low that usually mean your pads are getting worn down..its just a safety thing on our cars lets us knowthey are wearing down..:thumbsup

The break fluid seems to be fine, and the rear break pads (although, not the best) are pretty much brand new. Maybe I will put a lil more break fluid in tomarrow just to be sure. If its not those two things, what else could it be?

The switch may be going bad for the e-brake. Get one from a scrap yard to try.
