14933, Harsh ride after alighnment!
Posted by Dirty, Jan-15-03 08:55 AM
I've got H&R Sport springs and I installed my camber kits and got an alighnment. Since then I can feel the road alot more (bumps, rocks, etc). Before I put these on and got an alighnment everything was smooth. Does anybody know why this is happening?

Do you have aftermarket shocks? If not, maybe the stock shocks blew on you. :(

KYB GR-2. That would be some shitty coincidence that they blew as soon as I put my camber kits on. It feels like I put my shitty coilovers back on. I got these springs to get rid of this. Do you think the kits are whats making it harder?

If the shocks blew out the ride wouldn't be firm, it would be bouncy as all hell. Is it bouncy?

It's really hard. Whenever I hit a bump or something it's like the bump is 10 times bigger then it really is. So I guess it would be firm, just not the right kind of firm. This sucks. I feel like giving up on my car man! Nothin ever works right nowadays and I can't keep spending money fixing shit that I spent alot of money on.:(

thought i replied to this a while back.

alot of people complain about the H&R's being stiff. it's most likely those springs.

The H&R's were perfect before the camber kits and alighnment. I had them on for about 4 months and no problems in the ride except my tires wearing out. So when I got new tires I got some camber kits so these won't wear out so fast.

Pretty much everything was perfect until the camber kits and the alighnment. I just don't know what making this happen.

what kinda camber kit did u get? if it was one that comes with the offset poly.bushings that would explain the harsher ride.

It's these ones! I also have the rear kit. If these are the problem, what the hell are my alteratives? I rather wear out my tires then have to deal with this shit ride any longer.

Do you have adjustable shocks? If so soften them a little.

Mystic511 called it. Today I was really looking hard and hell yeah, my passenger front shock has turned to shit. They were some shitty GR-2's but now I think it's time for Blues or Illuminas. The strange thing is that it seemed to be shitty in the back too and those are fine. I hope this is the reason cause I don't want to piss away anymore money trying to fix shit that I was upgrading to in the first place. Thanx everyone! :thumbsup I'll let you know if that was it or not.
