I want to lower my car. From what I hear, eibach Pro kit sounds like the best bet. I think that the amount of space between the top of the tire and the rim of the wheel well is ridiculously to much, I feel like the car is lifted. On the website it says that the pro kit gives me like a 1.6 inch drop, is it just me or do cars with prokits seem to drop like three inches. they tuck the wheels in the wells really nicely. Is 1.6 inches refering to something else or will my car really only be 1.6 inches lower. Thats weak if it is. So do I just get those eibahs installed and that it. I dont need to touch anything else or what? whats a "camber."???? How much would it cost to install everything. Please help me out. I'll admit im an idiot when it comes to this stuff. thats why i like this site, all the big doggs help out, their not all like, "you dumbass" know what I mean. TIA for any help.

well, im sure alot of people are gonna tell you to go do a search, im sure this question has been answered quite a bit, but ill give you some tips on a couple things. when you drop your car, you get a negative camber. imagine looking at a tire from the front or back, most of the time it should be vertical right? when a car is slammed, that changes the camber. if youve ever seen a car with uncorrected camber due to slamming, youll notice that the wheels tilt in at the top, wearing the inside edge it will look like normally !! but uncorrected camber looks like this //. it wont be that bad, but its just a rough example. the wheels would look much in the same way. if uncorrected you start tearing up the inside track of your tires and get abnormal wear. some guy on here has a pic of camber tire wear. the rear camber is the worst. i believe you can drop less than 2" and still not have to change the front, but most any change in ride hight is gonna affect the rear. our cars didnt come with camber corection from the factory so youll have to go out and get camber corection kits for the back, and possibly the front...depending on how low you go. try a search, im sure youll find the answer to all your questions. hope this helps!

well caster and toe also affect tire wear, not just camber. and camber comes negative from the factory in the rear

what they say it drops is pretty much what it drops at. I have the Prokit on (since yesterday) and while it looks alot lower then then the actual drop Im 99.9% sure its only dropped 1.6"

Seriously though, people have trouble with what an inch really is. Especially guys. So you're seeing a 1.6 inch drop, but thinking it's more.

I used to have an S-10 and I put a 3/4 lowering kit on it. That SOB was slammed down, I was shocked at how low it was! 1.6 on a car that's already low is a good slam down. Don't worry about your wheel well so much, go get a ruler and go to the lowest part of your car (front bumper) and measure 1.6 inches down from there and that's how low your car is gonna sit. You'll be shocked.

225 40 18 is the correct tire size.

most springs settle over time. they will sag a bit lower than they already are. i'd recommend at least the $15 camber mod for the rear. your rear tires will definetly be out and you'll chew through them quickly.
