14820, KYB AGX + Tanabe Posted by ThePlastik, Jan-10-03 06:45 AM
Its been posted about recently so I decided to post. I really want to switch my cheap coilovers to Eibach Prolines. Then I found Tanabe, which is the same except $100 cheaper. I already have KYB AGX. Has anyone had experience with KYB AGX with Eibach Proline or Tanabe? Will the AGX's hold up? Thanks.

From what I have been told, the KYB's are the same as stock, but don't quote me on that! Go with some tokico's or Koni's!

I've had my KYB AGX's on for over a year with coilovers. Since I'm lowered and they are equivalent to stock then why hasn't something broken yet. Anyone have Eibach and AGX's?

Your agx will be fine. I use to have sportline and kyb gr2 and it hold fine. I would personally go with tanabe 1.3-1.5 drop compared to sportline 2.0 drop. plus it 75-100 cheaper......

gr2's are like stock. actually stock replacements re-labled. agx is the performance kyb available to us. this strut has trouble with aggressive lowering. not sure about tanabe springs or coils but with those struts i wouldn't plan on anything aggressively low.
