14751, what can i do????(illumina's problem) Posted by BMPDirk, Jan-08-03 03:40 AM
So, yesterday i popped my hood and began to take out my ECU to replace it with the AFX ECU, when i looked at my passenger side illumina and noticed the red tip with the white marks and groove in the middle was gone! What the hell???? i looked around and couldnt find it in the area surrounding it. So, i guess im screwed? It was there after i installed it, and i never adjusted it so i dont see why it would have came off. Has this happened to anyone else?? Is there anyway to adjust it now?? TIA

This happened to my friend with a hon-duh. He called Tokico and they shipped him out new ones.

this happened while installing my front passenger side one. :( All the gas sprayed out. I took it back b/c I got it that day, so the shop gave me a new one and they took care of getting a replacement. They should fall under warranty. That kinda sucks that they do that tho.

He's got H & R coilovers if i remember correctly. As far as i know thats no photoshop. I haven't seen his car since schools been out so i don't remember exactly how low it was.
And BMP-contact tokico as ^^^^ said, they have lifetime warranty for you.

if the top adjustment came out, is your engine bay or car oily as hell? It should be. The struts will blow if that adjustment pops out. It happened while we were installing them. It was a mess, but it helped get ready for a show. The bay was shiny as hell. :P

Thanks for your help guys. Clay opened up his engine bay, and found out that you can take that little red top off. Ive been tryin to call Tokico(1-800-548-2549) but no one ever picks up, and it askes you to leave a message after 5 minutes of being on hold. So, im just going to take the red top off my drivers side and replace it after i adjust the passenger side front. 9D9, no, my engine bay wasnt full of oil, but that red tip that came off is the one you're talking about(red tip with white marks and groove for a flat head in the middle of it, the one that came connected to the shock) Thanks guys!
