I'm thinking about getting new springs. I want to keep a low look, but at the same time I want a comfotable ride. I'm thinking about going with some Eibach springs, but i don't know which ones to go with. All I know about is the PRO-KIT sits higher and SPORTLINE sits lower. Do they both ride confortable? Which ones rides better? I've been looking through here and people with PRO-KITs looks as low as some SPORTLINEs. I need to know where I can find some EIBACHs for 1995 RS for a good deal. HOOK ME UP!!!

Sportlines are very stiff and lower the car too much. Which does not allow for enough wheel travel. I suggest the Pro-Kit. They are stiff enough for good street handling, and they allow for more travel. In my opinion the Prokits lower the 2gs perfectly...you get that nice low look, with plenty of travel, and comfort.

I'm pretty sure that the sportlines weren't stiff enough.. because people mostly complained about bottoming out too much and not being able to drive down anything but a perfectly smooth street.

Supposedly Goldlines are going to be Sportlines replacements. Much stiffer and they're not going to sag at all.

Pro-kits are good though, that's what I have and I love them.

all I know- my pros feel stiffer. The sports I had settled out too I think. The car was too damn low. Rear tires scraped on bumps, etc. I never had struts with them tho. I have the pros with illuminas now, but they are much better. With sports- u have to slow down for everything, and you scrape everywhere. Pros are much more streetable. Sports look better tho. I say go for looks and performance and get the pros. With sports, ur just getting looks b/c they are too low to have fun. I feel more confident with pros b/c I don't scrape anywhere. :)

I had sportlines then I switched to pro-kits. The sportlines drop it more and I think i looked better but as for the performance side - it was too soft and made the car have more body roll. The pro-kits are stiffer, the gap is about .5" difference and better in the corners and on rough roads

On the RRE website they have the Tanabe Sustec Springs which are identical to the Eibach in performance except theyre only $150 for a set. I'm going to get them considering I was going to get the prolines anyway and I'm pretty much broke so I'm gunna save $100.

It depends what your tastes are. Like what the other people said, sportlines are really low, and you'll have to slow down for everything, otherwise you'll be scraping your front a lot. My sig currently has the sportlines but I traded them for prokits because I got a new aftermarket front. So if you use your car as a daily driver, go with prokits. If your car is more of a trailer queen and you want to make it into a show car, go with sportlines.

About the handling issue that the others have mentioned, I think my sportlines were stiffer. I think it depends on your struts too. I did some e-brake sliding with both the sportlines and the prokits and the prokits had definitely way more body roll. Maybe its just me though.

I'm dropped almost 4 inches right now. I LOVE the lowl look. Its not comfortable like stock. I'm looking for comfortable ride, but with the lowest possible. Do prokit and sportlinekit ride the same? Or close enough? On all of the pics I've seen in here with pro-kits looks low and couple of messege above said that he's got them on now, but that silver car looks low as hell. I thought it said that it only drops 1 inch or so..???I really don't care about my front scraping the bottom. Its more like I don't want the springs to compress all the way which leads to bottoming out.

I had Pro-Kits and I traded them with Sonicyan. IMO, Pro-kits rode a bit stiffer. You can feel it with bumps. Sportlines are a bit softer, but as a result of being low and soft.. it gives it a bouncy feeling. But, the ride quality of both are managable. I rode with coils before (cheapy ones), and that crap was unbearable. As for the drop, Pro kits are a little bit (Like no more than .2 inch) higher @ the rear. The fronts are about the same.

Believe me they will. Make sure you get good struts/shocks to go with them and you'll be set. I had Illuminas on mine and with the Hurricane tie bars on there is like no body roll at all.

I just got some Pro-kits today. I'm going to install it tomorrow. I hope it is worth raising my car 2 inches. As long as it rides good... we'll see...

Did you get rid of your coilovers?
Because if not.. I'll be interested in them.
