14651, Need some new front rotors.. suggestions? Posted by phatGS, Jan-03-03 05:42 AM
Alright guys.... I need some new front rotors because I'm pretty sure these are warped (good amount of vibration when stopping). Any suggestions? I'm not trying to break the bank for them.

A good, cheap upgrade would be some Powerslots.

www.raceconcepts.net talk to WOOD its like 115 for both front rotors shipped, they are slotted and dimple drilled and I have no, I mean no complaints. they are awesome and I brake like a shit head and have had no noises/warps/cracks etc.. they look good too, its just brembo blanks with dimple drills and slotted and a nice zinc like finish on them, make sure to tell him your from 2gnt or ASOG

someone said for speeds around 70 and under, powerslots are great, but they fade at higher speeds. Not sure who was talking about the fade on those. Personally, when I have the money and nothing else to do, I wanna get the AEM kit. The 1 piece rotors are pretty affordable.

For inexpensive, slotted, stock-sized rotors go with Powerslot.
For inexpensive, cross-drilled, stock-sized rotors go with either Powerstop or Brembo.

I don't know if anyone else runs these but I love them, KVR, cross drilled, cad plated, in the front. I had used Greenstuff pads and they went to hell but with the OEM brakes they stop great. Not to many shops sell them, for one they are made in Canada, but I recommend them for around $90-100 for the front only. :thumbsup
