I think its been like this on my car for some time. I was wondering, is all I need is new brake pads?

as long as the rotors are okay and you didn't let the pads go to long. you might wanna get the rotors turned and as long as they are still within specs they should be okay. if you let the pads go to long it could damage the caliper. the piston on the caliper will come out too far and bend.

If its been metal on metal, then you will NEED new rotors and pads. Even if the rotors werent worn down, I would still not have then machined and re-used. Our stock rotors are just too thin IMO to turn and re-use. You run a greater risk of warping the rotor if more surface area is taken off when its machined. I never have rotors turned, buts thats just me..

you can get crossdilled/slotted discs of ebay for the same price you would pay for regular discs at autozone.
