14353, Worn tire due to bad camber... Posted by EcLIpsInEmCEe7, Dec-19-02 08:11 AM
a few months ago, i got my rear camber done at a local shop. i was walkin behind my car today and noticed that one of my rear tires is pretty close to bein bald. since the shop that installed the camber kit didnt adjust it so there was no negative camber, would they pay for my new tire and stuff, or am i stuck payin for another friggin tire for that damn car??? TIA

Actually you'd have to get an aligment to get the camber and toe adjusted properly. Did you get an alignment from them also? If so, then you could try arguing to see if they'll pay for a new tire. Otherwise, if they only installed it, there was no way they could get toe and camber right unless they did an aligment.

If they also did the alignment then they might be responsible, but also remember that a car can be de-aligned when driven for a while or over hard bumps and harsh road conditions.
