Stillen's is on sale right now, but they don't have bar specs. I'm going to try to contact them tomorrow and find out some info.

Either one is decent really...Stillen makes a good quality peice of merchandise...RMDSM I have heard they have a beefy sway bar which is always good....if your gonna go with something good all around I say go for the Stillen...they have a repuatation of making good products

Suspension Techniques also makes a good set of bars. My dream combo would be a suspension techniques front sway bar and an RMDSM rear sway bar. The RMDSM bar is beefy, probably the thickest bar available for a DSM, but the RMDSM bar for the front makes the handling a little too neutral. The Suspension Techniques front bar is a bit thinner then the RMDSM bar, and thicker then stock, so I would use it to slightly balance out the oversteer tendencies of the RM rear bar.

I heard that the ST bars were stock sized, or pretty close. I think they are 3/4 F and R.. also someone said they are not made out of spring steel.

Progess was making a sweet setup like 22MM, but last i heard the rear bar was still in development.

May be done by now, and they are worth a look.

I know these sway bars are diff from the hurricane tie bars. What do these do that is different from the others? I guess I'm asking what's the diff between a tie bar and a sway bar?

Sway bars = springs for side to side motions , reduces body roll

Tie Bars = Reduce chasis flexing

glenn's tie bars connect the chassis in the center towards the front. sway bars connect out closer to your struts and wheels. i've never used or heard about glenn's bar so i can't say which would have more affect. but going with glenn's tie bars would probably save you some money since he has far less overhead than any other company

Yes you can do both. They are different things.

Tie bars connect the lower section for each "axle". Since we have independant suspention - the body tends to flex when you go into a turn. The lower tie bars are synonymous with upper "strut bars", except that they work on the lower part of the "strut". Strut/tie bars will make the frame more rigid, allowing the suspention(instead of the body) to compensate for weight transfer.

Sway bars connect the springs together. Their purpose is to force the springs to "follow" each other. Thicker sway bars will allow the springs to be more level with each other than thinner sway bars. I believe the suspension techniques are adjustable, one of the few for our cars that are adjustable. Maybe the only ones. Anyone know if the other brands can be adjusted?

I would recommend doing a "sway bar" search. Will answer q's "do i really need them." If price is an issue you can install GSX/Talon AWD sways. I could have sworn they are do able. I know from reading from previous posts there was some issue on aftermarket exhaust clearances issues. They factory sways can be purchased cheap ie norco mitsu,tallahasee,or junked GSXs/Talons. I have Rm sways installed on mine. Its bit of a mind game when installing the front sway due to the size. I think its worth it. My car handles flat on the turns nore neutral. high speeds 95+ slightly understeers thats fine with me for more control. Excellant on roads with lots of corners. Cost me $180 from a store going out of business. :>

If you want a bigger rear sway bar, RRE have custom made .75" and 1" bars.
