1374, Who makes a good looking lite wheel? Posted by Wyatt, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
LAST EDITED ON 28-Mar-01 AT 11:54 AM (PST)I'm looking into selling my 18" Konig Monsoons and getting some 18" (have to stay 18" :P) te37's in gun-metal. What do you guys think? I also have a carbon Fiber hood to match the wheels but I was looking for some other wheel options. I'd like to get a 18x7.5 wheel in a 40mm offset. Cost isn't a HUGE concern, I'm ready to spend some $$. Any input would be great. I'm currently trying to put some te37's on my car in photoshop :) Wyatt Leras http://www.turbogs.com 98 Eclipse GS Star Stage 5,000 Turbo kit

Wyatt, TE37's are actually my favorite rim, those and the Enkei Shoguns(i know they are kinda played out, but i think they look killer on a 97-98 Talon). i like simple design i guess. Anyways, thats just my .2 cents. 97' Talon ESi Custom CIA AF/X UDP AF/X Solid front motor mount Apex-i Exhaust Accel Wires Royal Purple 5w-30 Oil

A TE37 in a silver finish would look sweet. I haven't seen to many DSM's with te37's but hey, I was never one to follow the wagon :) Wyatt Leras http://www.turbogs.com 98 Eclipse GS Star Stage 5,000 Turbo kit

1377, those are some pretty sweet rims... Posted by JasonESi_T, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
LAST EDITED ON 28-Mar-01 AT 01:51 PM (PST)I like both of those. The shoguns are particularly nice as you said Thunderous on the talons. Been thinking about buying something myself.
I don't know if I want to go as large as 18's though. I'm thinking of staying with some 17's.
What's the te-37's look like?
BTW, this dude has some Volk AV3's on his talon. As I remember, they're REALLY LIGHT.
Good luck with your selection.

Hey Wyatt you can sell me your monsoons. You still owe me one for the map sensor :) Keep in touch with me or email me. I like RH Cp10s. Hondas are kind of playing out those wheels though.

I agree with Evuflea. If money really isn't a factory just get some 18" Racing Harts. Extremely light weight and aggressive looking. You can expect to spend over a grand for the wheels though........you know I can take some of that money off of your hands if you got to much to spend :D

What about Racinghart CO-035 or CP-10? I think both are VERY light weight

The 17" weighs 17 pounds, and I think 18's are 18 pounds...

I too like some of the newer Volk wheels better than the TE37s. I like the RH the RH light weights too. IF the SSR Competition was available in 18" you MUST get that but its not. Gun metal grey and hella light.

damn wyatt, you need to keep the carbon fiber hood and gunmetal te37's. i dont usually like gunmetal but on a silver car WITH the carbon hood, they look nice. the CP035s are nice as well as the CP10s, there is a black 400-something HP gsx on overboost.com right now with 18" volks. Lenso also makes super lightweight rims.

LAST EDITED ON 31-Mar-01 AT 11:35 AM (PST)yeah, bronze on blacks looks super sweet :) I kind of wanted silver but I think gunmetal would look pretty sweet.
Anyone know how much they weigh?

not sure exactly on the 18s, but the 16s are 11.2 lbs and the 17s are 15 lbs, so by the same ratio, the 18s should be between 18-20 lbs, i think i recall hearing 21 lbs once
