13090, Deep Dish Wheels?
Posted by FlyinEsi, Nov-01-02 02:36 PM
Okay, I might seem like an idiot here, but I'm kind of looking at wheels to buy next spring. I have seen a lot of PHAT car pics some through these boards and some of my favorites have what you guys have called "Deep Dish" wheels? Now I don't exactly know what this is, but I remember liking the rims on those cars? Can you guys explain, and maybe point me in the direction of a couple websites where I can see these? TIA

I was just reading a different thread , and they threw out a link to WheelMax. their prices for wheel/tire combos looked great.

deep dish means they have a wide lip on the outer edge of the spokes.

I *think* I realized that from the some of the pictures I've seen...if I didn't get sick I was going to post some pics of the rims I want...do these rims stick out any more or less...are they any harder on the lugs? will they rub easier??? Any disadvantages to these rims??? Expensive??

Look at the MM-11-12s. I have them, Not on the pic in this post... those are off of a Ford Probe GT...(I use them to autocross, very nice wheel)

But I have some MM-11-12 in I7's. They have a nice deep dish look to them... not as deep as a true rear-wheel drive car.

Look for them on tire rack.

Nice wheel... 23lbs in 17's
