13058, Upper ball joints and control arms
Posted by xcasbonx, Oct-30-02 01:49 PM
Well I found out that my upper ball joints are gonna need replaced very soon, actually like asap. I went to satan and they want almost 250$ for each set. I dont know if they control arms are bad too, but I have brand new lower control arms and balljoints so I figured might as well replace it all. Anyone know any sites online that sell stock new oem parts? Im gonna do some searching here but I wanted to know if anyone knew off the bat. Thanks.

Unfortunately our upper control arm and ball joint up there are one, you have to replace it all.

Check http://www.chryslerpartsdirect.com and look under Eagle Talon.

You know that there is a recall for the upper ball joints... Take it to the dealer and tell em you need the upper ball joint recall and you should get em installed for free.

I didnt know there was a recall for them. I believe if there was one they woulda informed me, my old mans friend is the mechanic who did all the work on my car. Im pretty sure he would let me know about it.

I doubt he would have known about it unless he works at a mitsu dealership. There is definately a recall for them. I got two brand new upper a-arms that way from the dealer. If you already had em fixed, let your mechanic know that there was a recall for it and he should be able to get credited from mitsu, and you should get your money back.

well I need to get them replaced, no matter what even if they already have been, which I'm pretty sure they havent been. When I push up on the upper a-arm there is almost a half-inch of play, it moves up and down a lil. I know that aint right and definetly needs to be fixed. Ill call satan tomorrow and have them run my VIN.
