Hey,
I was reading and I read that when you put in a rear upper strut bar, you need to cut the strut covers in the trunk, why? and is there a bar that does not require the cutting cause I don't really wanna mutilate my trunk, but I wanna get a strut bar cause my front one is great. holla back

As far as I know there is no way around this except to just leave the covers off completely. If you think about it ... How would you get a bar from one side to the other without an opening in the cover or taking the cover off???

Use a hole saw blade, the kind that car stereo places use when drilling holes for tweeters. I think I used a 2 inch one. Then I got some black door strip edging from autozone, cut a small piece and formed it around the hole itself. It looks factory with the STB going through it. You will have to eye ball the cut fairly close or it will be off center.

I do not have a pic, but you should get the idea.

use around a 1.25 inch diameter, I think a 2" would be way too big, I used 1.25 and that seemed a little too big too... you'll figure it out.
