can i get an anchor on this.

don't accecpt ball joint sealant when you get the recall done. if they use sealant that means they found play(looseness). go back and tell them you want new ball joints

if your diagnosing suspension noises, get your ball joints done. having brand new ball joints will scratch off one more thing it COULD be.

when your checking your joints or a shop is be sure to LIFT ON THE FRAME. when you lift on the frame you take pressure off the ball joints and will get an idea of exactly how much play there is. alot of shops will lift on the control arm ,which is the ball joint on our car because it's all in one peice. lifting this way will hide alot of the play in the joint if it is actually bad.

in summary;

GET YOUR BALL JOINTS REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL.

if you say you want them replaced they can NOT tell you no.

Agreed. I had to learn the hard way. Luckily mine didnt break on the highway going 70. It happened in my driveway. I didnt have my car for a month. The original dealer I took it too said they were fine and just "resealed". I never did anything about it and it eventually broke. So I had my car taken to a dealer where my dads friend worked and he had to replace over a 1000 dollars worth of parts on my car because of 1 ball joint. These are the following parts that were replaced.

2 Link-lateral control arms
1 cv/shaft
1 core
1 knuckle
4 Stud-wheel Hubs
1 Hub-front wheel
1 Shield-FR Brake Disc
1 CP Cotter Pin

"Right axel assembly damaged when right ball joint came apart and removed right side knuckle assembly. To remove axle assembly axle was rusted badly in hub and couldnt get axle out and was necessary to replace knuckle hub/bearing assy and strut bar to fix. Also did 967 recall on vehicle."

Luckily a chrylser rep inspected my vehicle and they said they would cover all damages free of charge and would also take care of the dealer who didnt fix my car the first time. So in other words dont go through all the bullshit I did and get them REPLACED!!!!

how about this, EVERYONE CALL THE MITSU/EAGLE DEALER CLOSEST TO YOU AND GIVE THEM YOUR VIN#, THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK AND IF THE RECALL HASN'T BEEN DONE TO YOUR CAR, GET IT DONE!!!!!!!!......and yes the caps lock was down, dicks.

just for your info a guy this weekend from the avenger board, lost the whole wheel and ripped the axel right out of the tranny because of a bad ball joint, luckily he was only going 5 mph in a parking lot

thats what happened to me man, read above ^^^^, BUCKNUTTY!! You seriously need to get the recall done, a chrysler dealer has no choice but to take your car, they made it. Shit I took mine to a Dodge/Chrysler/Hyndai dealer and they took it. Just call up the nearest chrysler dealer and get em checked. Just remember if they say "they were fine we resealed them" tell them you want them replaced. I would stay there and watch the mechanic do all the work on my car IMO. Peace.

do they still have to perform the recall if say your unlce crashed his car ( not that bad at all) , you bought it and fixed it, but it still came with salvage title?
