12263, best way to lower my car and fix alignment
Posted by joshacu, Sep-18-02 04:14 AM
i should be getting some h&r sports today. i will put those on, and do the 15 dollar camber mod for the rear. should i then go get an alignment right after that, or should i let the springs settle, then find out were my camber is order the right camber kit. then fix my camber for good. pretty much the question is will the camber and toe be so far off the car wil be completley unstable, or what. thanks

best way
install springs
let settle (driving will be fine for a while)
then do rear mod (only half the recommended washers)
might not even need a front kit
if so order front kit
take it to alignment place
and have them install the front kit and adjust it

ive been driving around for over a year with coilovers and a 1.5" drop and havent gottn the alignment done at all, I do wear down the rear tires pretty quick but the fronts are perfect, the rear is the biggy, the front seems to be just fine (within specs anyway)

do springs and $15 camber mod. get aligned right away. rears should fall in spec and front will be at the end of within spec. most places give a 6 month warranty on alignments. go back after a couple months and get it redone after they've settled.
