11502, Torque question about installing strut bars

I just got some cheap strut bars and I need to know how much torque i should be applying when replacing the bolts on the shock towers. I didn't use my torque wrench yet because as I keep tightening, the mounting brackets of the strut bar are bending/molding to the strut tower. tia
