Posted by xEclipsE RaceRx, Jul-30-02 10:34 AM
Just wondering...cuz Im having the hardest time trying to find a place that will check the camber on my car...they all wont touch lowered cars like they have cooties or sumthing. I just want to get sum ideas on how big of a camber kit imma need (degrees), BTW im dropped 2" if you could say how many inches yur dropped I would appreciate it. TIA

The first thing you need to do is take care of your bump stops. That's going to lower your car some more and change your camber again anyways.

My camber was about 1 degree of in all 4 being lowered with maxspeeds almost all the way down.

Not bad at all actually so I just left it there.

Get the camber kits with 3 degrees of adjustment. You will need it... if nothing else at least get that for the rear, you might be able to get by with less on the front. Although I thought my front wsa pretty close and the inside of my front tires is BALD. My rear tires are still perfect with the 15 dollar camber mod... but it was still out of spec, I could see that with my own eyes.

What are you talking about?? The bump stops do NOT hold the car up in anyway, they are there for when your suspension is in compression and they keep you from bottoming out the shock rod etc..

But if you have to take off your suspension to cut your bumpstops you will mess up your alignment :)

Anytime you mess with your suspension you should get an alignment.

He lowered his car with some H&R Race Springs....his suspension IS resting on the bump stops.

...I use Ingall 2* in front and $15 mod in the rear. My front ingll are set at 1.75* and they ride perfect. I can get like 1.5" of measurment between my tire and the car at the top.

i have about a 2" drop on my sebring with maxspeed coilovers. i did the $15 rear camber mod with 5 washers and my rear was off .5 degrees. my front has no camber kit and is only off 1 degree but every car is different.
