. . . on the drivers side, trying to put the stock wheels on. i have no clue about suspension parts and i need serious help!!!

The lug nuts on your wheel were probably over-torqued, or a shop put them on with a impact wrench. Just take the hub off and either extract the broken studs and press in new ones, or take it to a local tire shop. They only charge $8-10 per stud to replace them.

Most shops will charge you 40 to 50 bucks parts and labor to replace all of the studs. I would get OEM mitsu dealer studs though, that's what Road Race recommends. Don't get those cheap $1 studs.

thanks for the info guys. i went to get some replacement studs from autozone for 1.39 each. was able to remove the entire brake assembly & get to the studs behind the rotor. but again i have 4 more broken studs on the front passenger side. get some studs from mitsu in the morning.
btw, when i was putting on the lugs/wheels, the lugs seemed to get stuck about 3/4s into the thread. when i went to lossen the lugs it became really hard to turn. ended up turn left so hard the stud broke off.

i'm guessin the last owner of the car had it serviced @ a el-Cheap O shop. they didn't put anti seize on any of the threads. its all cool though replaced all of my studs. the 4 studs/lugs from mitsu wasn't cheap, $18.

Yup, I paid $20 for five new studs, and another $15 for new lugs I think. But RRE said the OEM studs and lug nuts were worth it, so that's what I stuck with.

dang 4 studs. See this is a good reason why to torque your lugs and coat them with anti sieze. The studs on my MR2 were like bone dry and would make snapping noises when I tightened or loosened them, greased them up with some anti-siezes and things sliped on and torque no problem.
Our studs are pretty tough I've never broken one and being the autoxer I am I change wheels often. Then again the fact that I change wheels often means they're always easy to get on and off, if you don't touch your wheels often they're probably all seized and crap...
