Would switching to GST brakes make a substantial difference. I know GSX are more advantageous but someone is selling em for cheap (calipers and rotors) Do I need the brackets like the GSX? Thanks

I am pretty sure GS-T brakes are the same as GS/RS (with the exception of the drums on the RS obviously) They are both single piston calipers, while the GSX brakes are the dual piston calipers. Correct me if I am wrong please.

yes indeed GST brakes are the same as 2GNT brakes, no if you have an RS and want rear discs the GST rears would be something you want ;-)
