10631, want to drop my car Posted by spike14485, Jul-10-02 03:07 AM
i have a few questions about droping my car first if i were to buy coilovers will they just fit over the stock strut or will i have to get something else for it? what is the advantage of just buying springs besides they just lower the car.

Springs will also stiffen up the car as you take corners and whatnot.

yep what he^^^^ said. If you dont plan on changing your ride height all the time or go with atleast Ground Control coilovers (or better) your probably gonna waste both your time and money.
LOWER YOUR CAR!! Have no fears, not only do you get a nice stiff ride, but it looks good as well

get the prokit IMO. I live in MA and the roads are just as bad. Down the road you will end up blowing your stock struts..so just wait and save up$$ If I had the choice I would have got illuminus with the prokit but I only paid $350 for both KYB AGX(brand new) and prokit(brand new)off another local 2gnter..IMO the KYB AGX works great with the prokit! It took me all weekend to put them in by myself..but I bet I could do it again in about 5hrs.

The Eibach prokit springs say they only lower the car 1.2inch in front and rearis that good or is there some that will lower it even more i was hoping for arounda 2inch drop?

prokit will settle to 1.5-1.7 about a 2 finger gap

will the eibach sportline be just as good with the kyb agx or is the prokit with the kyb agx the way i should go.

most people that get the sportlines end up not liking either the ride or the extreme drop. If your worried about traveling over the roads in your state I would stay with the pro-kit or something else with a similar drop
