Im about ot buy sum couple month old Tokico blues for $180 shipped to my door...and I was wondering if you guys think its a good deal...Im pretty much already settled with buying them, cuz Im finding them brand new for $73 each strut...$292+shipping so...I guess thats the cheapest I found...what do you guys think? BTW...im putting these on with H&R Race Springs.

with those springs and the tokico mild damping, you are gonna bounce like a mother farcker. buy a spring with a softer spring rate like the sportlines if you want to go low. or buy a strut that has more damping.....Illumina will work fine.

I have that setup and its works fine for me. The only bounciness I had were with the 16 inch wheels, went to 17s and it went away. Your only concern would be how long the blues would last.... they aren't suppose to be dropped more than 1 inch I think. Ive had mine on for a few months now and no problems.

So they arent suppose to be dropped passed 1"???? So what am I suppose to use then...cuz are stock struts are suppose to be dropped at all either, and people still use them...so what should I get?

No you can get the blues, I think that is a pretty ok deal. I have seen new ones for 50 bucks apiece though. According to Tokico, those struts aren't suppose to be dropped more than an inch. When you buy new ones it voids the warranty to drop them that low. It all depends, I have a friend that blew one of his out a couple weeks after he got em.... Ive had mine for months and no problems. They are better than stock, that is for sure. if you have the money I would just get the Illuminas, I wish I would have.

i have the tokico HP Blues.. i paid a bit over $200 + shippingabout 1 and a half years ago.. they are great my personal opinion. mine are still all good i have the eibach sportline and its about 1.7-1.8 drop if i remember right around where H&R at. my friend had the Tokico Blues for about 9 months on his eclipse with Sportline also and one of his went bad and he called tokico and they asked if the car was lowered and he said NO, even if it was and they took the old one back and gave him a new one... it took about 1 month for the whole deal.. tokico adjustable are not worth it unless your going to take 80mph turns or bring your car to the track and have alot of power... also they are around $420+ for 4 to me not worth it.. i would say $180 most for something used, if its been used less then a year grab them..

If one of my Tokico blues struts were to blow, could I just call them up and tell them the same thing? Even tho I bought them used? Do I have to have any serial number or receipt, something like that?

well you should be cool... my friend just called them direct for info to get new struts... if he sends you some warrenty cards that would be a extra 10 bucks hehe... even if u get one or 2 cards thats good. and u can call tokico when they go bad and say i sent them in... etc

Well, Mike, I'm dropped two inches on tociko blues and I've had them for about 4 months, and they still ride great.

Man yur car always is nice...hopefully Nicky will get it ;) Yea thats right you are on tokico blues, but yur also on tokico springs too...you got their whole setup, how many inches is that, it looks tight as hell in person guys, where did you get it from, and how much? I bet I'll ask you in person Tuesday before you answer this thread, hehe...dont worry bout it.

hey eclipse racer, ive had tokico blues with my matrix coilovers for over a year now and as far as i know, they arent blown, and thats with 16 inch rims and 2-2.5" drop. THursday im putting on my H&r race springs (they guy i was buying sportlines from fell through and eneded up buying the racers off of ebay) after my lil part comes in from satan. I'll let you know afterwards how it rides if you are interested.

couldn't find them for $380, only $430 shipped, you are talking about the tokico illumns right?
