10403, GR-2's Anyone using? Comments on them? Posted by Hult250R, Jun-25-02 02:22 PM
Ive got a set of Pro-Kits on my Talon now and am getting skunk2's because i dont really like the uneven looking ride height the pro-kits have. right now im riding on stock struts, ,but Im going to upgrade when i put the Skunk2's on. Whats everyones experiences with KYB GR-2's? I can get them for $49.99 from Summit Racing as compared to like $99.99 for the AGX's All im going for is a good handling street car, Im not looking to Autocross anytime soon. Anyone have GR2's and if so with what springs? what have your experiences been with them? thanks! ~Luke

I have GR-2's with Skunk2's. AGX are too long in the front so you don't have enough travel. Also, the skunk2 collars will fit with the GR-2 so just get the GR-2's. Not all coilovers are compatible with all shocks.

They should work with ANY springs. The only issue of struts matching is with coilovers, but different brands of coilovers use different size collars, and the spring perch may or may not be knocked off easily from the strut. You can get any struts for your intrax springs.

Well on my car if you look at the car from the side the wheel gap is about 1 1/2 or 2 fingers in the rear and about 3-4 in the front (please excuse the extremely scientific method of measurement...) I Just dont really like the way it looks, Id rather it be like a 2 finger gap front and rear, so im planning on basically rasing up the rear a little over where it is now and leaving the front the same as it is. But the thing is, With Pro's the ride height is actually level, its just the contour of the fender wells that makes it look uneven, If you put a ruler under the car it would measure the same front and back, (that is if you measured on a flat surface, like right under the door) Thats my take on it anyway..... ~Luke
