10298, front drivers side collapsed!! Posted by farmdogg55, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM i need help, when i was in my driveway on my way to work this morning my drivers side front wheel just collapsed/broke. it is resting on the top of the wheel well. the passenger side is still fine. i was already late for work so i just left it there and bummed a ride. what the hell happened? cv joint break? ball joint? i dont know, i need help or suggestions on things to look for when i take a look at it. i read in a earlier post about getting a rebuilt axle for like $60, where do i get that? a junkyard?
