Hello all,

I just finished installing my brother's suspension, and as I was inspecting the finished product,I wanted to see if anyone had any feedback in regards to he possibly needing to "shave" off any of the upper control suspension bolt/nut that hangs over the front wheels?

He hasn't even driven the car yet, but upon inspection of that particular issue, we were able to discern about a 2 finger space between the bolt and tire. It seems a tad close when in comparison to my own Pro-Kit setup.

(Overall, after the suspension, I'm pleased with the results. It certainly has a nice visual appeal, specifically in regards to the "rake-ish" look that the H & R Sports provide. My Eibach Pro-kit has a more equal stance all the way around. Both are very fine options though depending on your personal appeal.)

Actually, that part of the control arm moves in conjunction with the tire, so it will never touch it. If you got a bigger rim with a larger diameter tire, this is prob what you noticed..i thought the same after i did my drop...but thats not how the suspension works..

yeah, if you really wanna check it put your hand under it and rock the car. if it hurts you may have problems.

Thanks for all the input guys. We'll monitor the suspension in the next couple of days for any problems.

Oh yeah, one more brief question. The directions didn't call for any sort of cutting of the rear bumpstop. Just making sure that indeed wasn't necessary for the rears?

Cutting the bumpstops never hurts since it gives you more travel from what I'm told. RRE suggested I cut all four of mine in half when I installed my H&R sports. It just gives you more travel, so if you notice that you are bottoming out a lot, then you should probably cut them. A little late now though....

...you will have to depending on what the application calls for. Some setups don't need it and some do. Mine are

My front bumpstops had to be cut big time and my rears I just cut in half or at the nearest groove.

I still bottom out with my maxspeeds in front with barely any bumpstop but I don't really want to take them off :-\

Definately do not take them all the way off. That's what they are for. You bottom out onto those instead of bottoming the whole strut out and blowing it. I forgot to install the fronts when I first did mine. Metal against metal on the strut is a sound you do not want to hear. Trust me.
