10104, Alignment question
Posted by markjavier, Jun-12-02 08:28 AM
I am having Prokits and Tokico adjustables put on, along with a camber kit from RRE . . .

when should I get my alignment after install:
- should I get it right after install?
- or wait a couple of days after the springs settle?

Thanks,
Mark

PS- When they install the camber kit will they know how much to adjust it to?

Wait about a week.

DON'T pay someone to install your kits, do it yourself, it is EASY. Believe me, I'm 17 years old, not a bad mechanic but no genius and we installed rear springs and shocks today with $15 camber mod in under 2 hours. Front just requires a spring compressor but you can get info from Corbin's VFAQ on how to do everything else. Don't waste $120-$200 getting it installed, you can adjust the camber yourself and then wait a week or so for springs to settle.

I had one done a week after and then another a month later. It took a while for my springs to settle all the way. So far the tires have no wear problems after 6 months and 7000 miles.
