It's definately possible. If you still have your stock rims try popin those on the front, and go for a drive to see if the noise changes/goes away. That should tell you right there.
Oh yea I forgot I still have those in storage. I will hopefully have time tomorrow to try that out. Thanks for the help and idea, I'll let you know if it works or not.
