2423, RE: Will this work? Posted by eclipse804, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM Umm i think the threaded collar has to be at the bottom of the assembly, not at the top. The spring should hit the top of the whole assembly, there shouldn't be a gap between the top of the assembly and the actual spring like in the picture. From the picture, it seems that the whole weight of the car would be forced down against the adjustable collar perches with the springs pushing back up against them, and it doesn't look like that would be safe. Also, when you cut that spring, it raises the spring rate I believe. The rears are already 8 kg/mm which are about 450 lbs/in. Any other opinions? | |
