3810, VE table map values maxed out Posted by wickedtalon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I have a 3 bar map sensor and my VE table is currently tops out at 249kPa. I need to bump it to 300kPa because it is topping the chart.
Current VE table map values:
249 200 180 150 120 100 90 80 60 46 36 20
What area should I merge together to get it so that I near the top of my 3bar map sensor or what areas do I change?

I would merge some of your boost areas. maybe two of your high n/a areas like the 80 and 90.
Consider what your boost settings are. if your low setting is 15 and high setting is 20psi then make sure tose two are in your bins. The remaining bins, just pick halfway between them and even distribute the areas of adjustability.

I would use something like this:
300 260 230 200 170 140 110 90 70 50 35 20
Just spreads it out a bit more, without making a big impact in your idle/highway cruising areas, and especially spreads your near 100% VE out (you had 80,90,100?), if you are boosted, you won't be in this area to often, no need to keep them so close (no closer than everywhere else anyways). There is no right or wrong answer, when I was running my MS on my talon, I changed my values around a bit after tuning due to a few spots that I couldn't get as spot on as I had hoped, so a bit of trial and error went into it, which is what you'll probably have to do as well. Datalog, learn and fix :)
