When I put in the IAT sensor for msns why can I not just use it in the factory position? Does the factory ecu use that to adjust the idle or what?

Because they use two different thread pitches.

So I can just rethread the slot and use the ms iat where the stock iat goes.

Yea but you still need a spot for your factory IAT.

I am going to use the stock ecu for idle and charging voltage but thats it. I wont need it for fuel or spark.

If that's all it's going to be doing, why not convert to a fast idle valve, or some other rig for idle? Then get an Omni regulator.

There's no point in keeping the stocker around if that's all it'll be doing.

True, but its a bit more work. Maybe I will look into it, I have never really looked into taking it out completly. How hard would it be to rig up a fast idle valve or something of that nature? I have the MP60 throttlebody, I need to search it I guess...

Not hard... just find a fast idle valve and connect one end to the intake manifold (via vacuum line), and the other to the intake/IC pipe.

Otherwise, I've been working on a little box to let you adjust the stock idle controller digitally with a knob.
