well, i'm just wondering if i get megasquirt will i need wideband or will megasquirt be all that i need
by the way i also have safc 2, so should getting aem eugo wideband be enough or just get megasquirt thx

If you get the MS you will get rid of the SAFC. You need to get a wideband with mega squirt, the best bang for buck wideband is the zietronix. You can get that for 269 or something and you don't need a display unless you want one. You will be tuning the MS with a computer anyway so you can watch the af/lambda from the zietronix on the computer as well.

I tried doing it without (just narrow band) because I only needed to get it close before the it went to the dyno. That sucked. I went out and got an Innovate LC-1 from my buddies shop. I believe it was $175 without a gauge (no need for the gauge I use my laptop). A lot of the MSnS Neon guys seem to like the Innovate. There are specific settings in MSnS for it. I'm really happy with it (especially for the price).

The real question here is "do you need a MegaSquirt?". If you truly need a MegaSquirt, then you are advised to get a wideband O2 setup. If you want a basic wideband O2 only to work with your MS, then the LC-1 is a great choice. It is simple and cheap. The MS and WB02 work together to automatically adjust your fueling.

The S-AFC will not automatically do anything based on output from a WBO2. You would have to read a display on the WBO2 and try to manually make changes with the S-AFC. The S-AFC is really limited in how it can change your fueling. So limited, that it is almost pointless.

However, you shouldn't buy a MS just because it is more powerful than anything in its price range. To really use all of those features, you need to have in depth knowledge about your engine and MS control strategy. It gets real deep, real quick.
