I was just wondering if anyone has read the book "How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems" by Jeff Hartman? I bought the book just to learn about fuel systems and how they have developed etc, it actually is a pretty good book. I am posting this to say it has a section on EMS Tuning 101 that could help some people out that were trying to learn about megasquirt and some of the terms and what does what. Has anyone else read it? Its got some good stuff, twincharging/ compound induction...maybe one day?

i have had it for a while now and im about 20 pages from the end althought it seems like it would make excelent piece i refrence material i did not really feel it was up to par with some other motorbooks workshop books not because lack of technical information but lack of readability it is much harder to just sit down and read than there other books i have my favorite of them is sport compact car engine and drive line. I also own honda and acura preformance,how to biuld a cheap sports car and, how to rebiuld and modify your manual tranmission.

Yeah its hard to sit down and read all of it but you just have to do it bits at a time.

read it all in a day. Waste of money and time. Didnt learn a damn thing.

Like mentioned above, its all general info. The megamanual teaches you tons more.

I didn't think it was that bad if you don't know a damn thing about fuel systems. Sure the mega. is better but like you said, its generic.
