everything else is too expensive. ms allows alot more development.

but i never see a megasquirt powered car on puerto rico i see"microtech""sakura""haltec" but never megasquirt; i make this question becouse i plan to buy one and i want to know the diferences on each one

It's an easy question. MS has open development. So you get a group of technical guys together, with a decent programmer ... boom you have some new features specifically tailored to the 2gnt(or neon). Right now, the MSnS is the only one that supports our trigger wheel natively without having to add another trigger wheel for a CPS signal.

it's also ~$300 US for a complete MS kit, versus $1000-$1500 for other, commercial standalone units.

And it's not just taking off in this community alone. It is quickly becomming popular in North American rally circles as a reliable, feature-packed tuning solution for the little guy. People run this thing on Neons, Volkswagens, Fords and more. Very powerful tool for very little money, relatively speaking.
