2435, Idea on using MS to control IAC (help idling issues with MSnS)

Sup guys.

I was looking for ported intake manifold, and I just realized one thing.

In Megatune and Megasquirt site, it stated that the JEEP IAC controller can be controlled directly by Megasquirt. (but our 420A IAC is not supported by Megasquirt)

So I am thinking, since many of us uses the JEEP throttle body (to take the advantage of the 60mm), so why don't we just use the JEEP IAC also, so when others and Me switch over to use Megasquirt to control FUEL & SPARK, it won't have problem controling the idling.

Am I making sense here?
I think of this because I am switching over to MS Spark soon. (currently FUEL ONLY) and so I don't want my idling to have any problem. so I want to see if there is a way to eliminate the stock IAC, and use Megasquirt to fully control the idling.

Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks all!
Gilbert

PS. because currently i am using the stock TB, and if this JEEP IAC will do the trick for MS SPARK, then I will upgrade to the JEEP TB.

Woah, I didn't know it could control the jeep IAC. I have a jeep TB. I guess I'll have to search the MS forums for info on howto.

Kinda the wrong forum for this post though, lol.

Well, This is kinda like more related to Megasquirt. but also the Jeep 60mm TB. so I figure, here is a good place to post.

So what you guys think?

I say you leave well enough alone. Get the spark going right then worry about the next step in your project. Putting in too many variables makes things more complicated, did you forget your first problems already?

I guess I do think ahead a bit.
But well, coz I don't want to have idling problem when I switch over to SPARK.

ODD, I did another post yesterday that included 3 links to the MS site and is related to using the JEEP IAC.

But now I don't see the post??? was it deleted? or just not posted??

SHOOT.
I will repost that information later on when I get the spark going I guess.

Thanks.
