I have been having probs with a boost leak that was killing my vac/boost line to the 1:1. So spent all day sealing everything up and then doing a leak down, again and agian. I kept loosing psi from somewhere and couldnt find it till I rested my hand on the top of the 1:1.

I have 2 Aeromotive 1:1's here and both leaks through the threads at the top of the unit. Now Im not sure if this is a design flaw or it was made to do that, but I pulled out the adjustment screw and wrapped it with teflon and now no more leaky leaky. The intake system is now pratically air tight, besides my shitty stock throttle body that I actually slowed down a hell of alot. Enough to say it doesnt leak anymore.

I didnt have time tonite to test to see if it helped my problem, but I will defintley know by tomorrow if it helped or not.

Just wanted to let every one know, just incase you wanted to check yours.

Interesting... once my car is running again I will check my unit and see if it leaks. Thanks for the heads up!

I think that is pretty common with adjustable FPR's. My Bell and Vortech both did it a little. My Aeromotive leaks a little, but not enough to make a sound or cause any issues. My Greddy BOV leaks a little vaccum at its adjustment screw also. I checked them with a vacuum tool (used to bleed brakes). Teflon tape sounds like a good solution. You can also buy serrated lock washers with an internal rubber ring.
