1911, MS starting and idle problems Posted by selmerguy2003, Mar-26-06 08:52 AM
I got my accel injectors yesterday and got them installed. They are 40 lbs/h injectors. So I decided to make the big jump and let ms run them. Terry built my ms and sent me a few maps to get me started. I am just having problems getting this thing started. I have the 6400 map sensor and one of the maps he sent me had the b&g sensor setting. So after about 3 hours of tring to get the car started I used this map not knowing that the b&g was selected. The car started and ran pooly but it started! I then turned the car off and changed the map to 400 kpa and the car starts. I let it warm up and turned the car off. I tried to start it and it wont start again. I have to select the b&g sensor to start the car then kill it and change the sensor to 400kpa everytime I try to start the car. There has got to be a better way.
Here i what I have and my settings 40psi idle fp 7.9 req fuel 1.0 injector open time .10 correction pwm% 100 threshold 25.5
I have wide band selected and my 14.7 voltage is 2.45 so thats what I put in the ego switch point at.
Any body have any ideas?

Also what are your guys ase settings at? I have been searching the fourm and I see alot of people saying they are over 100 in certain points. I tried this and it almost started. This is getting stupid. Can someone with similar injectors hit me up with some ase settings or something? I have terrys and dougs and this thing just wont turn over unless I do that silly b&g cycle thing. I tested mt power soiurce by connecting ms power directly to the battery and it still did the same thing.

Here's one of my old MSQ's for when I had 415 cc/min injectors.

Obviously, it's not a GIF. I don't have any other way of hosting it. You are going to have to download it and rename the extension to .msq for it to work. I believe the code for it is 024s9, but it should work fine with 024s13 which is the latest stable release.
Although, it is for the MPX4250AP sensor, which is the 250 kPa sensor. You might still be able to make use of it somehow though...

I got it to start now I think. I changed the cranking pulse widths and also turned the barometric correction off. I starts when it is warm now atleast. Just have to wait and see tomorrow,
