OK, I'm finally working on my Megasquirt install guide... soo here's a nice piece of info from it, the 2GNT wiring diagram!

I think once you guys see how versatile and easy the MS really is, more of you will be using it...

I know I have 2 MS units that I'm gonna be giving to 2GNT regulars here next week... ;)

I'm thinking of going with this setup as well. I need to do some reading about it. I'd definitely like to see what you have put together on it. That wiring diagram is easy enough to understand, even for someone electronics-retarded like myself.

good job lee. are you using the reley board. its aload easyer with wiring if thats used.

No I'm not using the relay board... because to be honest you only need one extra relay for the MS! And if you realy wanted to you could do a slight rewire of the ASD relay and use it to control the main MS power... I'm planning on trying that soon.
All you need is to make a harness for the MS, then you just have to splice into a few wires and voila, your good to go.

And yeah the Megasquirt isn't all that hard to make.
You can buy everything you need from www.glensgarage.com for $146 shipped. Or people like me can make one for a fee if you don't feel up to the challange. But it's really not that hard if you have soldering experience.

thats pretty sweet, and having a diagram like that makes it that much easier...

take a gander at the wiring diagram, and see what the wires go to, and then answer your own question.

I did that once too... ;)

Things to check though are to make sure the MS has power... when hooked up to Megatune do you see feedack from the MS? If you do then you may be right...
No big deal doesn't take much to swap in a new transistor.

You can also try and trigure the transistor manually also... if your carefull.

hey i just got a 95 gs and im looking at some engine management systems and this mega squirt thing sounds pretty good... i have been reading about it and from what every one says it is really easy to hook up... but i am a complete tard with electronics... ive looked at the wiring diagrams and im hoping i can do it... even though i dont know what im looking at... i seen that u will build one for 275... what els will i need to do to start tuning if i buy one from you?(wide band, sensors, cables, etc?????????)

What is that orange wire doing there that is connecting the wires controlling injectors 1&3 and 2&4?

power....the ms grounds the injectors to fire them

I'm gonna MegaSquirt my pants when this thing "comes out" and is ready to rock and roll. This blows the 8 injector setup away imo...

High high boost....total control over the fuel....SQUIRT!

It so happens that Mr. Slick flew down to LA on business, and he happen to be stay at a hotel like 4 min from my house…He just got done showing me the new shit, and it’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWSOME! OMG, I can’t Waite tell everything is done testing. We just got done doing some more tuning to the car, holy shit, it goes! Mr. Slick knows his shit!!!!

FOr those that were wondering his car didn't have a fuel return line, so the Aeromotive wasn't really doing anything... so I helped Chris install a return line on the car tonight and set his FP. Now his car runs pretty good ;)

i know this is bringing up an old post but i wanted to make sure i understood a part of the wiring diagram

for the fuel pump.
it says to cut a74 white/red at ecu and connect at fuel pump relay outlet.

am i correct in assuming that when you cut the wire you are hooking it up to the MS at point# 37 on the board while leaving it cut at the ecu so the the MS is controlling the fuel pump now?

will the ecu recognize that the line is cut or can i just tape off the cut end of the red/white wire at the ecu and call it good

Exactly, this puts the FP under MS control...

In reality though you can leave it under control of the stock pcm, either way works.
And the stock pcm has no way of knowing that you cut the wire. ;)

I'm going to re-do the wiring diagram this week, maybe today to make it easier to understand. ;)
